The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full-cycle recruitment activities to support the recruitment needs of departments across the agency. Responsibilities include sourcing candidates through various channels, hosting or participating in career events, and planning interviews and selection procedures. The specialist will develop strong and collaborative relationships with hiring managers to support them through the hiring process and also develop and maintain an effective pipeline of quality candidates to meet the current and future needs of the Arc of Monroe.
Develop and execute recruitment strategies
Creates electronic job requisition and routes/tracks approvals.
Posts open positions to all required job sites.
Develops sourcing strategies to attract high quality and diverse talent.
Develops positive, mutually beneficial relationships with diverse community groups and networks continuously to build a quality talent pipeline.
Promotes Arc of Monroe in a professional manner at recruitment functions such as job fairs, schools, universities, career and community events.
Works closely with Human Resource Business Partners to understand program needs to identify quality candidates and partners with them throughout the selection process.
Reviews resumes and screens candidates to determine eligibility and fit through skills testing, phone screens and interviews.
Provides an exceptional candidate experience
Ensures the collection, maintenance and storage of data and records required by law or needed by the Agency related to the staffing function.
Essential Skills:
Familiarity with social media, professional networks, job boards, etc.
Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships within all levels of an organization.
Maintains high level of confidentiality
Required Experience:
Associates degree and 2 years of related Talent Acquisition or similar experience, OPWDD and/or human service experience a plus; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
