Please keep this in mind when applying for positions at our organization.The Director, Software Quality Delivery & Automation owns the testing for each release across the application portfolio. Releases include major application deployments, upgrades, and patches. They will direct and oversee the efforts of the Enterprise System Quality Organization and is accountable for the quality of all application and configuration changes delivered to end users. The Director works closely with Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) and business leadership to ensure that quality requirements, with a solid test plan for business systems, are appropriately and effectively forecasted, prioritized, and executed.The Director is also responsible for the development and implementation of the Organizations test automation framework and strategy. This is a highly strategic role that is responsible for broad transformation of the Organizations system test and release management philosophies and methodologies. The Director ensures projects take a test-driven development approach and that tests are automated as appropriate to reduce time to perform regression tests.- Drives the development and implementation of best-in-class quality goals, performs quality metrics testing analyses, and applies problem solving-oriented system improvements to meet target quality levels.- Drives the creation and adoption of a Shift Left testing philosophy/methodology, including the design and implementation of the organizations cloud-hosted test automation platform, as well as the Organizations system-wide regression suite.- Assesses and applies new techniques, including hyperscale, parallel functional and performance test automation, refocusing the practice from defect identification to defect prevention.- Creates and upholds rituals around and within the Testing and Release Management phases of the Enterprise SDLC.- Directs the overall day-to-day testing for the Organization wide suite of applications and systems. Exceeds performance and service level agreements (SLA), operating metrics, and day-to-day support standards, policies, and procedures (e.g., enterprise change control, incident management, security, SDLC, programming standards, and all defined COBIT standards).- Works closely with stakeholders and leadership across the Organization.- Ensures that adequate machine, network, and other environmental resources are provided to each project.- Coordinates with Product Owners and industry compliance experts to ensure applications comply with all regulatory requirements.- Ensures the team is skilled in the creation of automated tests and creates the necessary training to help those that are new to test automation.- Models and drives continuous learning and maintains a highly skilled and engaged workforce by aligning cross-functional resource plans with business objectives; overseeing the recruitment, selection, and development of talent; motivating and empowering teams; building organizational capacity and developing high-potential employees for growth opportunities and advancement; staying current with industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices; providing guidance and leadership when difficult decisions need to be made; and ensuring performance management guidelines and expectations align with and drive business objectives and results.- Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.- Models the Lifetime Way behaviors and values on a consistent basis and promotes these behaviors to the division. Maintains knowledge of all relevant legislative and regulatory mandates and ensures that all activities are in compliance with these requirements.- Regular reliable attendance is expected and required.- Performs other functions as assigned by management.Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with ten (10) or more years of related experience. In lieu of degree, sixteen (16) cumulative years of relevant experience.- Four (4) years of management experience relating to System Test and Release Management.- Advanced knowledge of testing industry tools and methodologies such as Gherken, Cucumber, and Selenium.- Extensive experience with quality strategy and process definition; demonstrated expertise in test plan and schedule development.- Advanced knowledge of testing distributed and open systems applications.- Demonstrated experience effectively managing a team of direct reports.
