Business Analyst - Data Governance/Quality Control

job summary:

• Evaluates business processes to identify needs, problems and opportunities, and develops strategies to maximize opportunities/value delivery.
• Engages with business leaders and users to understand how data-driven changes to process, products, services, software and hardware can improve efficiencies and add value.
• Writes business cases for future potential projects.

• Works with team to understand and translate business requirements into technical or systems specifications to solve business problems, including program and logic flows, file/data base design, etc.
• Works with user communities to understand and document business requirements for assigned projects.
• Delivers assigned tasks in alignment with project plans and estimates. Participation in project communications/meetings to promote and communicate project goals, timeframe and high-level changes.
• Works closely with, and leads, users, functional / business analysts and technical testers to prepare test plans, test data and complete integrated testing.
• Provides input for, and sometimes prepares, project plans and budgets related to technical development for projects and enhancement.

• Promotes the identification, recommendation and delivery of technical improvement opportunities that improve the system solution.
• Promotes and demonstrates the sharing of technical knowledge, provides cross-training, peer support and leads team meetings.
• Actively participates in, and sometimes leads, the estimation and planning of future technical work plans.
• Develops, reviews and approves technical documentation and procedures used to maintain applications, system documents and programs.
