Growing Rochester, New York construction firm is looking for a skilled, experienced Acoustical Field Operations Manager to join our team. This full-time job is a mission-critical salaried position with a Company truck provided. As the Acoustical Field Operations Manager, you will be empowered to grow our acoustical line of work by establishing strong customer relationships and developing, coordinating, and leading a best-in-class field crew to deliver high quality projects on time and under budget.

Specific duties include the following:

Developing and overseeing foremen and work crews ranging from two to five employees at various skill and experience levels across multiple jobs, including ensuring that their work is prioritized, planned and carried out to maximize timeliness and efficiency and meet Company profit targets;

Consistently maintaining a high level of quality control over the work of the crews on a range of construction tasks, including wall framing, drywall, carpentry, drop ceiling installation, hardware installation, selective interior demolition, and related work in accordance with local building codes;

Serving as the key Company representative with General Contractors while displaying a high level of professionalism, including coordinating with their Project Managers and Superintendents on job progress, scheduling, change orders, submittals, and problem-solving as issues and challenges arise;

Serving as the key employee in carrying out Company policies and procedures in the acoustical field operations area, and keeping Company senior management informed about human resources issues, safety concerns, job progress, and other acoustical field operations matters.

Maintaining established OSHA and other policies and procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment; and ensuring that presentation, cleanliness, and organization of the job sites meet or exceed Company and General Contractor standards;

Using construction drawings to help prepare project layouts, identify materials needed, and ensure that all work meets project specifications and other job requirements;

Responding to and reporting injuries and other incidents in a timely manner in accordance with OSHA requirements and Company policy;

Holding employees accountable for attendance and punctuality, documenting policy violations, and reviewing and approving time cards;

Ensuring that the Company values of trust, integrity, efficiency, professionalism, and customer satisfaction are consistently demonstrated by all acoustical operations team members; and

Performing other duties as assigned.

Specific requirements/qualifications include the following:

Demonstrated leadership skills combined with an ability to function effectively as a team member within a corporate structure;

Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to remain calm and professional in stressful and challenging situations;

Ability to effectively plan and prioritize work in situations involving multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines;

Minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience in a Foreman or higher level position;

Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products;

Ability to read, comprehend, and critically analyze commercial construction drawings;

Strong working knowledge of OSHA and other job safety requirements;

Ability and willingness to work longer hours when needed to fulfill all job requirements;

Ability and willingness to travel to upstate New York job locations from Buffalo to Albany, as well as to potential work sites in nearby states, sometimes including overnight stays;

Good driving history; and

Drug free and willing to undergo a criminal background check.
