Nutritional Clerk - Part Time

A nutritional clerk is responsible for communicating with patients, visitors, and staff about the menus and the procedures of the Department of Nutritional Services. He/she must possess knowledge of general nutrition and the food service operation and be able to relay this information in a helpful and courteous manner. He/she ensures that patients receive food in accordance with nutrition orders and individual allergies/preferences; maintains menus by collecting patient selections; efficiently modifying menus; communicating with patients, visitors and staff courteously in a busy office setting; acts as a liaison between the clinical nutrition, food service, and nursing; and responsible for processing information coming into the department via the computer system regarding patient care.
