About the position:

We are looking for a forward-thinking, patient-focused LPN with clinical experience to focus on the care of our patients with chronic allergic conditions.

Responsibilities include:

Verify patient candidacy for testing and assist allergy secretary with clerical tasks as needed

Assess patient health and perform allergy skin prick testing (SPT), intradermal testing (IDT), and pulmonary function testing (PFT)

Review test results with patients and educate them regarding environmental controls and immunotherapy options

Administer allergy immunotherapy treatments including sublingual therapy and allergy injections.

Participating in community forums to educate prospective patients about our allergy services

Qualified candidates will:

Have completed an accredited formal nursing education program, with LPN degree conferred

Hold current BCLS certification

Clinical experience in an outpatient setting

Allergy testing/treatment experience is a plus but will train the right candidate

Experience with injection immunotherapy a huge plus

Proficient computer skills including ability to master the clinic’s practice management software

Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population

Ability to handle a busy office with interruptions, calls, and walk-ins

Excellent attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills
