Wolters Kluwer Governance, Risk & Compliance division is looking for a Lead Product Software Engineer to join our GRC CT team.

About the Project

CT Transformation is a multi-year program with three goals: (1) Improve customer experience; (2) consolidate and modernize platforms, including customer-facing portals, order management and billing; and (3) automate manual processes, leveraging rules engine and workflow to support improved CX and quality. We are in year 2 of our transformation journey with beta targeted for Q4 2022 with Commercial release Q2 2023 for the first MVP release. All major releases planned for 2024 and 2025. Ideal candidate's Profile: We are looking for a talented Lead Front-end Developer to join our passionate team. We want a team member who strives to develop a first-class codebase using Angular best practices. We expect the team member to lead a team of front-end developers to create a modern Angular application - but spending 50%+ time coding.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead one or more UI development teams located at onsite/near-shore/off-shore and deliver the project with quality built-in
  • Hands on experience with ability to contribute to core platform UI component library while leading teams
  • Brainstorm, plan, design and develop interactive user friendly website
  • Planning for common needs such as consistency, accessibility, and internationalization
  • Develop Front-end solution design and detail design for large complex line-of-business applications
  • Identify re-usable UI patterns and package them to improve the team productivity
  • Provide leadership and guidance for Front-end architecture, design, build, documentation and testing of software solutions for existing and new products.
  • Lead coordination and communication across Development team, Product Owners, UX/CX Designers, Operations team, and QA teams for development projects.
  • Champion, collaborate, and drive UI development, deployments, best practices across multiple development teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to software development team to build quality code and perform code reviews.
  • Analyze and research alternate solutions options, develop POCs or prototypes and make recommendations.
  • Creative, logical, self-started and analytical thinking to reach a solution
  • Staying current on web development technologies and UI/UX design trends/innovations
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies for UI development. Stay abreast of current trends and technologies and introduce them into development process.
  • Work with the other Engineering leaders as well as Product Management to determine the requirements necessary to deliver roadmap items.
  • Close partnership and collaboration with WK UI teams for alignment with WK Design and Branding guidelines
Experience
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in an information technology-based position
  • 7+ Proven Experience with JavaScript/ Typescript and front-end development including Angular 7+, Webpack, NodeJS, Bootstrap.
  • 3+ Experience with UI architecture/design patterns and re-usability concepts, eg: Module pattern, Builder pattern, Strategy Pattern, etc.
  • Experience in developing Micro front end, Backend for frontend
  • Ability to translate Front-end solution design to detail design for hand off to UI developers
  • Experience in providing technical guidance and leadership and conducting design and code reviews
  • Taking the initiative and hold accountability
  • Bring the thought leadership, how to improve the quality and productivity of the team
  • Working experience with web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, Less.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented JavaScript patterns. E.g., MVC, Redux.
  • Good understanding of writing client-side unit test case using Jasmine, Karma, Jest.
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, routing, message handling.
  • Experience in writing UI unit testing using Jasmine, Karma, etc.,
  • Architect, design, and implement web UIs for infrastructure platforms
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science or related major
