ETL Data Engineer with PostgreSQL Experience - NYC, NY | Lake Mary, FL

Title: ETL Data Engineer with PostgreSQL Experience Duration: 12 Months + Location: NYC, NY | Lake Mary, FL Job Description Responsibilities include:

• Designing, implementing, maintaining highly robust, scalable and flexible data pipelines
• Working as a Design lead to ensuring quality of technical solutions as data moves across Healthfirst environments and Third party vendors
• Working with solution and data architects to develop, construct, test and maintain architectures, prototypes and design solutions
• Coach and mentor junior technical staff for instance, but not limited to, developers and testers
• Helping to maintain the integrity and security of the company data
• Providing insight into the changing data environment, data processing, data storage and utilization requirements for the company and offer suggestions for solutions
• Articulating both the technical implications as well as data usage implications of proposed solutions or solution options to a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Working directly with business users to align solutions with business requirements
• Relentless focus on continuous improvement of solutions in to improve data reliability, efficiency, quality and more
• Working with solution and enterprise architects to conduct research for industry best practices and developments and recommend new features and/or improvements to existing practices and design.
• Coaching peers and other members of the team through new solutions, concepts and technologies
• Ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines, identifying the necessary steps and moving forward through completion
• Research, propose, and be an advocate for process and system change that can improve the impact of the data over time
• Automating workflows leveraging DevOps framework (CI/CD/CT) where applicable

• 12 -15 years' experience working with data (data engineering, Design lead , Building Framework and Solutions etc.)
• Experience analyzing and working with large datasets and designing solution a must
• Strong experience in building/designing reusable solution and framework
• Proficiency with SQL 10+ years' experience
• Strong experience in PostgreSQL, Redshift DB
• Strong experience in working Cloud framework
• Strong experience of ETL tools like Informatica PowerCenter -10+ years' experience
• Strong experience in IICS . Minimum 2+ years' experience
• Strong experience in AWS different components . Must be proficient in Athena, Redshift, S3,Lamda,Glue etc.
• Experience using GitHub
• Must be able to both read & understand code as well as feel comfortable using code as a tool for data analysis
• Experience using tools like Alteryx
• Demonstrated Critical thinking ability including the ability to define a problem, frame it for a broad audience and collaborate with others to formulate solutions
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with proven ability to influence with impact across functions and disciplines.
• Must be detail oriented
