Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Social Media Specialist for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York, NY.
Responsibilities:- The Social Media Specialist is responsible for contributing to the strategy for the Bank's social media efforts, and is also responsible for effective measurement of its success.
- This position will work to share the Bank's messages through compelling storytelling, including photography and video, across all social media channels.
- The Social Media Specialist should leverage past experience and knowledge of current and future industry trends to develop social content.
- The specialist must work well in collaboration with the full Communications team to execute these goals.
- Provide tactical and format recommendations for higher performing content based on current best practices
- Develop an enhanced social strategy that will meet the bank's goals for leveling up in a way that will work for the unique needs of the organization with an emphasis on outreach & education initiatives and senior leaders; should also have experience with paid social media and Instagram strategy and launches.
- Recommend process and structural changes for how social content is planned, produced, approved, posted, and performance-assessed
- Collaborates with Digital Strategy team and business areas to develop both long-term social media strategy as well as current content and campaign plans.
- Identifies compelling stories and campaigns plus content that engages the public.
- Writes social media posts that drive traffic to the Bank's public website and invite engagement on our various platforms.
- Work cross-functionally with all Communications functions to use video and other photography to tell stories.
- Monitor performance of social media generally plus individual posts and campaigns and develops periodic performance reports.
- Strong understanding of and extensive experience in managing social media channels and creating compelling social content
- Exceptional demonstrated written and oral communication skills, ability to meet aggressive deadlines, strong analytical skills
- Web analytics/social listening knowledge and experience in measuring campaign performance and analyzing metrics to support overall social strategy; experience with paid social campaigns required
- Proficiency in web development technologies (HTML, CSS, Photoshop, Fireworks)
