This role will be a member of the BlackRock Client Insight Unit (CIU) team. CIU's mission is to leverage BlackRock's analytics to deliver investment and portfolio insights to a wide variety of institutional clients. The successful candidate will serve as a technical expert to support the team in crafting client portfolio diagnostics, analyzing data to drive thought leadership insights, as well being versed in the BlackRock product suite.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in client meetings/conference calls in preparation for and, in completion of client projects.
  • Respond to client portfolio assessment requests by crafting robust, customized analyses. Types of requests include, but are not limited to, detailed portfolio analyses such as returns-based style analysis, factor analysis, holdings analysis, risk and return attribution, scenario analysis along with portfolio optimization exercises.
  • Develop deep and meaningful partnerships with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Product Strategists and related teams.
  • Researching timely and relevant investment topics as it relates to client initiatives and requests.
  • Continually expand and deepen investment, portfolio construction and BlackRock product knowledge base. Stay abreast of current market environment and the latest relevant investment research.
  • Maintaining and developing knowledge of BlackRock products, investment themes, sales strategies, systems and applications to fully support other team members and partners with all inquiries.

Skills & Qualifications:

Successful candidates will possess the following:
  • BA/BS required. CFA preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written along with client-facing experience presenting to C-suite level audience
  • Ability to understand investment products and services, as well as general investment and securities concepts
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, leadership capabilities and strong work ethic
  • Advanced experience with financial modeling applications (e.g., Aladdin, MPI, Bloomberg, Python, Tableau, etc.) preferred
  • A desire to work cooperatively and diligently as part of a growing team
  • You will be required to pass Series 7 and 66
