JOB SUMMARY: THIS IS THE JOB FOR A PEOPLE PERSON! Serves as a dynamic liaison between the physicians’ fast passed practice and future, current, and former cosmetic patients. Candidate must be upbeat, well-spoken, have a great attitude when handling calls, have great customer’s service skills, ability to multi-task, schedule appointments, and communicate effectively with patients. A good personality and willingness to learn are key! Excellent phone communication skills are required. Provides accurate information about the surgeon, the practice, and anticipated procedures. The primary responsibility is to facilitate the surgeon’s consultation with the patient by providing both pre-and postoperative information, effective fee quoting, and scheduling optimization.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Able to discuss payment arrangements with patients

Applicant must be willing to learn and have excellent communication skills.

Two to three years customer service-oriented position in the retail, hospitality, or travel industry, preferred

Experience with contact management or other patient tracking software, as well as word processing applications-Windows 10, Excel preferred.

Familiarity with Internet and social media applications and the impact the Internet have on cosmetic surgery practices. Ability to multi-task.

Neat, professional appearance

Able to understand patient concerns and handle them appropriately

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Daily Duties

1. Schedules and conducts pre-consultations when appropriate to allow interested patients to view procedural before and after photos and ask questions prior to seeing the surgeon. Tracks telephone calls and complimentary consults.

2. Following the surgeon’s time with the prospective patient, briefs the patient on fees, and handles the preparation of all required information, etc. Also responsible for completion of correspondence requesting prepayments or copayments.

3. Answers patient email inquiries promptly.

4. Responds to telephone inquiries from patients regarding fees.

5. Has primary responsibility for knowing surgeons' schedules including in-office consultations and surgery days.

6. Sends post-consultation letter to patients within 24 hours of an initial consultation

Typical Physical Demands: Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment is also required. The employee must have a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.

Typical Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Daily hours are 9 AM to 5 PM with flexibility for OT as needed. Occasional evening.
