HIRING MULTIPLE SECURITY GUARDS FOR JFK AIRPORT

Airport security officers interact with customers to ensure smooth transition between areas of the airport, compliant with safety regulations. They perform searches of customers, their ID and personal belongings in order to ensure safety and to prevent illegal activity.

The duties of an airport security officer include, but are not limited to:

· Patrolling an airport terminal or aircraft to detect security breaches or safety hazards

· Inspecting cargo to ensure that packages are properly labeled and sealed and meets all safety & security standards

· Conducting physical screenings of customers using metal detectors, hand held scanners and explosive detection devices

· Performing bag checks and screening customers for weapons, explosives, or other items that could be used to perpetrate acts of violence

· Monitoring surveillance cameras to identify potential threats or criminal activity

· Inspecting identification cards to verify that customers have valid entry requirements for the location they are entering/exiting

Requirements:

Must have a HSD/GED

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Must have active security guard license
