Senior Network Engineer

The role of the Senior Network Engineer is to provide technically sound, creative, and secure network solutions for Segal s hybrid computing environment. This includes designing and supporting areas such as traditional switching and routing, network security appliances, SD-WAN, and Cloud. The candidate will collaborate with a successful team to provide solutions to meet evolving business initiatives and challenges.Key Responsibilities:Key responsibilities include but may not be limited to:- Design, develop, implement, and maintain networks for both on-premises and Cloud infrastructure
- Establish and monitor KPIs for networking and security solutions
- Contribute to establishing configuration standards and ensure these are maintained and controlled using appropriate tools
- Create technical project plans, execute, and direct resources as required. Work with Project Management and other teams on complex projects
- Manage and continue to develop LAN, WLAN and SD-WAN infrastructure for solutions provided through Cisco switches, WLCs, LAPs, Catalyst APs, ISE and Century Link s Versa platform
- Support legacy Cisco VoIP infrastructure with SIP Trunking and contribute to the design new VoIP Cloud services
- Administer and safeguard the network by designing and enhancing network security comprised of traditional and virtual firewalls, including assessing threat prevention analytics, IPS and owning the product(s) lifecycle
- Assess, design and develop infrastructure, services and best security practices for Azure environments (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS)
- Manage and maintain our NetScaler appliances
- Participate in the Security Incident Response team to provide guidance to our Operations team and participate as an escalation point when needed
- Schedule updates and upgrades
- Collaborate with senior network engineers to optimize system performance and network architectural design
- Perform quarterly security review for critical business solutions to address key SOC, HIPAA and other compliance requirements Compliance requirements
- 5 + years of experience in IT network administration and engineering
- Strong understanding of Azure IaaS and PaaS networking and security concepts
- Proficient at using tools such as protocol analyzers, scripting, and log and data analysis
- ISC(2) or relevant vendor certifications such as Cisco, CheckPoint, VMWare, a plus
- Practical understanding of cloud design concepts and solutions such as CASB and SASE
- Strong working knowledge with network types including LANs, WANs, WLANs, SD-WAN and VoIP networks
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A proven record of delivering high-quality results
- Flexible schedule, including the ability to work nights and weekends, as needed, for projects or critical support issues
