This position will be located in our New York Office.We are seeking an Executive Assistant who enjoys taking ownership, managing multiple priorities, working independently, and possesses great organizational skills. This role will provide administrative support that requires continuous use of technical and business acumen, as well as a detailed knowledge of company operations and organizational procedures and processes.The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, with the ability to respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility. The Executive Assistant must understand business priorities, demonstrate the ability to proactively anticipate needs, and drive improvements to build capacity for the leadership team. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as professionalism in dealing with senior executives inside and outside of the organization, is critical. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks quickly, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action.If you have strong administrative skills, are creative and analytical, and want to take on new responsibilities and be part of a great business unit and team, this might be the position for you.In this exciting role, you will be responsible for:
Supporting the day-to-day activities of the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk Officer, and Chief People Officer, contributing to the realization of strategic objectives.
Extensive calendar management, organizing appointments, and ensuring the executive has a clear picture of their day.
Creatively finding ways to streamline processes, create efficiencies, and keep the executive organized.
Travel management, including international and domestic business travel, hotel arrangements, accommodations, and preparing and submitting expense reports.
Preparing for meetings, obtaining information in advance, distributing materials, and obtaining appropriate support.
Assisting or leading special projects, and may conduct research on behalf of the executive.
Providing cross-functional support for deliverables and working collaboratively with other Executive Assistants, Strategic Assistants, and Centers of Excellence.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Administrative area OR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Administrative areaAND
Experience as an Executive Assistant
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience supporting multiple Executive Leaders in a fast-paced environment
Highly professional demeanor with excellent communication, organizational, time management, interpersonal and problem solving skills
Experience handling confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner
High ability to think critically, identify and resolve problems in a proactive and timely manner with the ability to anticipate needs
Advanced Microsoft Office skills and software applications with the aptitude to learn new technology and leverage new tools
Proficiency with travel arrangements, expense reports and knowledge of company operations and organizational procedures
Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze information skillfully and exchange information clearly and concisely
Excellent, attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
