Job Details

Job Duties:

  • Contribute to or even drive larger changes to processes and workflows within your team or the broader development organization.
  • Work with the developers on your team to break down projects into deliverable chunks of work.
  • Give great feedback on code reviews, architecture documents, and more to help support team members making great technical decisions.
  • Have 1:1 meeting with your direct reports to make sure they are supported in their career growth and development goals.
  • Mentor and lead a team of engineering professionals through creating a solid plan for career progression and professional development.
  • Serve as a technology expert within the business to maintain technical standards, security, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Assist in long-term technical roadmaps with short term key priorities executing on overall strategy, anticipate risk, and iterate our way to a target.
  • Make critical decisions and be proactive in foreseeing and resolving issues.
  • Sets goals, strategies, and oversee the deployment of large/enterprise scale initiatives and encourages a data-driven culture to improve the efficiency, scalability, stability, and security of application.
Ideal Background:
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering and product technologies
  • 3+ years in a leadership position managing software engineering teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management, prioritization skills, and agile delivery through chaos and fast-paced environments.
  • Extensive experience working with product managers to ensure planning and prioritization of key projects. You inspire the engineering team to achieve challenging and high-performance goals and timelines for work.
  • You are inspired to code and can assist and solve problems as they arise.
  • B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline strongly preferred
