Job Title: Software Developer II Location: Remote - USA Purpose statement: The Software Developer II provides development and maintenance services for Enterprise class Manufacturing Execution Systems. This position includes requirements definition, analysis, development, testing, implementation, and support to deliver benefits to the organization, its customers, and other business partners. This position also acts as a resource for other colleagues, as well as leading small projects with manageable risks and requirements. Essential Functions:- Perform software development activities using established development practices, following design and coding standards, code reviews, code versioning, continuous builds, unit/integration testing, & deployments.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing software systems
- Provides Software Developer I associates with mentorship, guidance, and training on IT standard work.
- Collaborates with managers on the development of Software Development I associates.
- Actively coordinates with Business Analysts and stakeholders to assist in the creation of system design and functional specifications for new development projects
- Actively collaborate with the team to build consistent and dependable solutions using knowledge of best practices and business processes.
- Identify opportunities and facilitate communication that can improve efficiency of business processes.
- Provide assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology
- Investigate and resolve application functionality, root cause analysis, related issues, and provide support/troubleshooting of our software systems
- Address and resolve support inquiries and escalates as necessary
- Effectively present technical information in one-on-one, small group situations and larger groups including executives as needed
- Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications
- Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS. (Preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a software development group (Required)
- Experience with enterprise software applications. (Preferred)
- Ability to utilize and apply technical knowledge and skills.
- Must be highly organized and have the ability to maintain several projects at one time.
- May lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
- Must be able to interact in a professional manner with customers, employees, and all levels of management
- Ability to analyze situations accurately, utilizing a variety of analytical techniques in order to make well informed decisions.
- Ability to develop and evaluate alternatives.
