Java/Cloud Developer

SoHo, NY, Alpharetta, GA or Florham Park, NJ office.

Candidate will be required to be onsite 2 days a week from day one

Responsibilities:

Experience:

Professional enterprise application development experience, designed for capacity and scalability
Full lifecycle software development experience using Agile/Scrum
Ability to establish guidelines, best practices, processes, and governance
Strong problem solving, debugging, and solution development skills
Experience with DevOps
Experience doing discovery, use case analysis, and communication with key stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5+ years professional Java enterprise application development experience
Minimum 3+ years SQL and/or ORM development experience
Minimum 2+ years cloud development experience
1+ year's experience on PL/pgSQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views
Experience for the configuration and troubleshooting Cloud services
Experience deploying an application on Cloud using Kubernetes Engine, etc.
Experience working with: Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, etc.
Working experience in: Maven, Git, DevOps, etc.
2+ years' experience developing microservices and messaging based applications, preferably using Kafka or Google Pub/Sub
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Advanced technical degree and/or related training a plus
Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills

Nice to have Qualifications:

Google Cloud Platform experience
Drools knowledge
PostgreSQL
Experience using Spring Boot
REST API development experience
Experience working with large datasets using PostgreSQL in the Google Cloud Platform infrastructure
Knowledge of PostgreSQL design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics, and isolation level

Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
