Senior Data Analyst

Contract

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to lead discovery, planning, and execution of data for large-scale Microsoft migration project.

What You'll Do:

Be SME for Data Analysis and migration project, providing thought leadership on how to drive project
Review and analyze metadata from legacy technologies, Slack, Box, etc and prepare it for migration
Perform source data analysis to manage source to target data migration mapping including archiving unused or inactive data
Prepare data migration plans including migration risk, milestones, quality, and business requirements sign-off details
Connect and consolidate data for migration - archive, delete, store, retrive, etc.
Assist in developing best practices, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out data migration activities
Work closely with internal business users and the line of business IT teams to gather requirements and develop migration recommendations
Work with subject matter experts and project team to identify, classify, define, collate, document, and communicate the data migration requirements
Work with subject matter experts, line of business IT teams and internal business users to understand data usage and implications of data migrations

Experience:

Prior data migration experience a must with strong data analytical skills
Expert PowerBI, SQL (SSIS/SSRS), Excel, driving data analysis and mapping out migration
- Python / R experience is a plus
Experience working with and manipulating Metadata, Structured, and Unstructured data
Experience with migrating data to and from Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint
Experience with Box, Slack, internal file shares, and storage
Ability to work with large disparate data sets
