Our budding Data & Technology team is looking for a talented Senior Data Analyst to oversee internal and project-based data reporting solutions and analytics. Working with our company's data strategists and regional account managers, the Senior Data Analyst will initially focus on dataworkflows for California-based programs intended to educate vulnerable, high-risk populations about their labor rights and improve vaccination rates across the state. This position reports to the Senior Director of Data and Technology Strategy. location: New York, New Yorkjob type: Permanentsalary: $110,000 - 130,000 per yearwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelors responsibilities:As Senior Data Analyst, you can expect to:? Triage all major data requests related to internal business intelligence and client projects? Build and maintain infrastructure for medium- to long-term data projects (working withsmall to moderate data volume)? Develop, document, and manage data workflows and data management solutions? Contribute to, document, and manage companys's internal Python codebase? Conduct robust data analyses- Identify and explain data anomalies and pain points
- Develop static and interactive data visualizations
- Develop and maintain standard and ad hoc program reports / dashboards providing actionable insights into reach and impact metrics
- Translate campaign requirements to scalable technical infrastructure
- Ensure reproducibility of all company's research and data outputs; oversee quality assurance
- Optimize all automation-related products
- Consult on and make strategic decisions about analyses, informed by knowledge of program operations
- Support quantitative and qualitative program evaluation (incl. survey design)
- Liaise directly with clients, stakeholders, and non-technical staff
- Monitor outputs, timelines, and deliverables related to data workflows
- Evaluate new technologies for moving, transforming, storing, and analyzing data and make formal recommendations
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior analysts
- Extensively contribute to the direction and development of company strategy focused on data reporting and analysis solutions
- Identify and voice concerns related to data ethics, privacy, and security
- At least three years of demonstrated experience successful manipulating, processing, and extracting value from disparate datasets
- At least two years of experience in a managerial role related to data analytics workflows
- Advanced working knowledge of Python and standard libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy), as well as Excel
- Expertise in one or more data visualization tools and/or JS data visualization libraries
- Fluency with data infrastructure and architecture
- A keen interest in data models and solving data problems, particularly in service of community impact work
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, as well as active listening skills
- An aptitude for independently managing projects with complex timelines and dependencies
- Comfort with independently making and documenting decisions that affect program direction
- Eagerness to work at a small agency with flexible roles and responsibilities
- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 3 years of experience
