RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Analyst Level 2 in New York, NY.

Overview:The Business Systems Analyst's Level 2 role is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. The Business Systems Analyst is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.

General Tasks and Responsibilities Will Include:Technical: Business Analyst will own the functional requirements link between the customer, development team and any third-party regarding software functionality, throughout the development lifecycle Collecting, understanding, and transmitting the business requirements for the project, and translating these into functional specifications and detailed test plans Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner Communicates needed changes to development team Possesses understanding in the areas of application programming, database, and system design

Project Execution: Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules Communicates and applies project standards As a Business Analyst, you will manage resources in accordance with project schedule Weekly reports to be produced for the project manager showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks, and dependencies Day to day management of change requests in relation to the project plans to ensure agreed deadlines are met

REQUIREMENTS: A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field of study Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in the field of data processing, computer systems, and applications Operations Specialty requires supervisory experience (5 years) Network Services requires a telecommunications background and experience Broad knowledge and expertise in the characteristics of computers, peripheral devices, communications systems and hardware capabilities, programming languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, data management and retrieval techniques A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
