Job Details

We are looking for an influential Enterprise Data Architect who will be responsible for our newly established CoE, driving the implementation and adoption of best practices and standards across our Product Teams, whilst maintaining close contacts with key vendors and industry movements to ensure that the best practices evolve with industry and vendors movements deemed relevant and applicable for the strategic Data Platform. You will work closely with the VP of Data as well as other architects within our sister companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern Data Lake concepts and data management experience.

Job Duties:
  • Design, implement, maintain, and support our CoE Data Platform
  • Influence and persuade the architecture committee across business units and sister companies
  • Consolidate data where possible and minimize duplication of efforts across business units
  • Provide consultancy and direction to local Product Teams
  • Manage the CoE Data platform environment and be responsible for CoE best practices
  • Create and maintain the related standards and best practice documentation and code base
  • Develop and mentor Product teams, ensuring that best practices are implemented for data governance, data quality, data cleansing, and other data related activities
  • Ensure monitoring controls are in place and actively analyzed and reported
  • Provide strategic and tactical guidance to business on data management best practices
Ideal Background:
  • 5+ years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry as a data architect or senior data engineer
  • Snowflake experience (ideally Snowpro core or better)
  • Azure Cloud experience (Azure Data Lakes and cloud based data platforms)
  • Data Vault 2.0 experience
  • Experience with data governance, data quality frameworks, and MDM frameworks (using Collibra ideally)
  • Experience with data lineage, data cataloging, and metadata management
  • Demonstrated experience working in an environment that requires SOX, SOC-2, and other regulations compliance
  • Demonstrated capabilities in influencing others and relationship building
  • Ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations.
