A NYS agency located in New York, NY is looking for a .Net/ Oracle Developer for a 12 month contract.

Some onsite work is required throughout the life of the contract, and is likely to increase over time. Local candidates only.

To be considered for this position, the client has advised that upon placement, consultants will be required to wear a mask under certain circumstances, show proof of full vaccination or submit on a weekly basis proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR diagnostic test.

Requirements and skills

Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, Oracle and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC)
Development experience using C# .NET/Develop and design RESTful services and APIs
Experience and Knowledge in JavaScript
Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET) and HTML5/CSS3
Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST API, RPC)
Advanced proficiency in C#, VB.NET
Capacity to use SQL or Oracle with ease
Understanding of Agile methodologies
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
Knowledge of REST and RPC APIs
Able to work well in a team setting
Current understanding of GiT and AzureDevOps
Current understanding of UI design tools
Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, and Bootstrap
6+ years' experience: Data modeling and prototyping, Azure, JavaScript, Oracle, SQL, SQL Server, PLSQL, .NET code development, GUI design in a .NET framework, Proficiency in Oracle

Responsibilities

Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
Develop technical interfaces, specifications, and architecture
Use and adapt existing web applications for apps
Create and test software prototypes
Develop client displays and user interfaces
