Location: NYC- hybrid. (2 days onsite). They are remote right now however. Long term contractPlease note: ONLY LOCALSONLY FINANCIAL CANDIDATES.If a candidate has private equity and tools like Investran and efront etc. That would be highly desired Description:PlatformClient currently uses various proprietary and third-party vendor applications to support the LP and Fund Accounting business processes to manage the funds. Investran is the key application for fund/LP accounting along with few custom developed applications to manage process like partner transfers, investor calls/distributions and financial reporting. PositionThe PM/Business Analyst will be working mainly with the Accounting business and IT teams in the following capacity:- Meet and follow up with the business users to gather requirements
- Document business and IT requirements and create flow charts/diagrams
- Work with IT app dev team to propose and brainstorm new functionality or enhancements that are solutions to the problem posed by the business
- Work with users and IT support to close out daily support tickets reported by our accounting teams
- Experience in working with data analysis, data transformation, and comparisons
- Willingness to dig deeper into business data issues and question the business process
- Proven ability to work independently and keep users engaged
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, detail oriented, and methodical
- Relevant academic degree in computer science or accounting
- Financial industry experience, especially in the LP and fund accounting area
- Experience with testing and the software development life cycle process
