We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Assistant - Radiology.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing moderate to advanced range of Project/Program coordination functions. Supports radiologists in each section as needed to perform tasks that will serve to increase efficiencies and allow radiologists to focus their clinical time on interpreting images. Serve as a physician extender to perform non-interpretive tasks to enable top of license performance for radiologists. Tasks to include: critical result communication support, referring physician communication, technologist communication, prior exam submission and tracking, unread examination tracking Works under general direction.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Core Values and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
- Make and receive phone calls to and from referring physician offices.
- Contact on call MRI Tech.
- Track unread exams to ensure appropriate level of service. Solve minor technical issues.
- Coordinate IT related issues between radiologist and RADIT/MCIT as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma is required. Minimum of 1 year related experience in an office setting or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Effective Oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer Skills Working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power point and Access. Ability to develop basic formulae for spreadsheets; set up routine computer procedures; Ability to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software. Ability to proofread documents and write clear, concise 1st draft.
Ability to type at a speed of at least 45 net words per minutes.
Knowledge of standard office practices.
Ability to multi-task while paying attention to details.
Ability to use standard office equipment such as copy machines, multi-line telephones, fax machines.Preferred Qualifications:
