job summary:

The Role / Responsibilities:

- Provide expert level advice on multiple technologies across projects.

- Provide advice on requirements using expert level of knowledge on the possible technology solutions.

- Author technical design documents for shared modules

- Python and React development skills, high-performance computing and superb programming abilities are expected. Java is also desired

- Take ownership of Business Missions/Epics and stories; Implement and test features based on the requirements.

- Collaborate across functional and project teams to assist in fixing the most complex/difficult defects.

- Investigate and find the root cause for the most complex software problems reported by clients. Show expertise when communicating with clients via email and phone regarding these defects.

- Provide input to continuously improve our engineering practices.

- Play a primary role in training sessions and knowledge sharing across the teams.

- You need to ask the right questions, log what needs to be logged, run the right diagnostics, build the correct software employing the proper algorithms, and provide crystal-clear answers to questions about your code.

- You will need to set high-performance goals for yourself, assume responsibility and accountability, and self-impose standards of excellence in a structured environment with your manager.

Qualifications:

Candidates are expected to demonstrate experience in each of the above responsibilities and focus areas, with the following specific qualifications:

Required:

- BS or Higher in Computer Science or related technical field required.

- 5+ years' professional software development experiences on multi-tiered enterprise applications.

- Known to be an expert in several technologies; sought out for advice in these areas.

- Clear understanding of Software Development Life Cycle

- Expertise on agile process, including SCRUM; mentors others to improve development process more broadly.

- Quickly learns new technologies; is motivated to learn latest technologies and share this knowledge with others.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Works well in a fast-paced team environment; able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

- Has expert analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Can communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Consistently displays good presentation skills.

- Expertise in building large-scale high-volume APIs with RESTful endpoints. Experience with API gateways for maintainability and observability a big plus.

- Expertise in AWS In depth knowledge in AWS Gateway and including authorizers, API security, data entitlements is required. Experience in using Lambda in a serverless architecture is also preferred.

- Competent in Service / Microservice -oriented architecture/web services (REST) and CQRS

- Familiar with SQL Databases: SQL (Postgres) and other NoSQL engines.

- Competent in Others: Jira, Git, CodeBuld, CodeDeploy, Docker

- Positive, team focused attitude
