RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce is working with a top firm located in New York, NY and they are seeking a Desktop Support Technician. We seek a committed professional with demonstrated experience and a strong commitment to IT support. The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-directed, with the ability to work in a stand-alone role and as part of a team, and who sets a high standard for themself and the work product. The candidate should also demonstrate commitment to the firm's values of integrity, diversity, quality, and trust. As the Desktop Support Technician, you will be the main point of contact for desktop support, playing a proactive role in the maintenance and administration of workstations, laptops, and mobile devices including inventory. The IT Support Associate will also play a key role in supporting general office management and will serve as a point of contact, including interfacing with vendors and building management staff.

Responsibilities will include: Desktop Support Technician will be providing end user support and technical assistance in the use of computers (workstations & laptops), and software applications, including working with hardware and software vendors to troubleshoot and resolve any related issues Setting up and configuring desktop computers, peripherals and accounts Desktop Support Technician will be installing, maintaining, and configuring hardware and software systems according to company policies Proactive approach in the maintenance of computer equipment, including troubleshooting, repairing, computer and peripheral testing and diagnoses, and escalating corrective procedures toother technical resources as appropriate Assisting in the installation and maintenance of telephone system Desktop Support Technician will be ordering and stocking equipment and supplies as necessary

REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is required Minimum 3 years of related experience Clear, effective communications skills - both written and verbal Exceptional customer service, problem solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work productively independently and under limited supervision Accuracy and ability to pay close attention to details is vital Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Eager to learn multiple facets of Operations Proficiency in Windows 10 and Office 365 is required Experience with cloud based software a plus Knowledge of NetSuite, Concur, Fluxx, grants management software preferred Knowledge of and commitment to the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors is a plus
