SCOPE OF SERVICESUnder the guidance of organization leadership, the individual will work with a technical team and leadership on the initial build of our Salesforce platform, and ultimately lead the administration of that platform, including: coordinating user training, developing an administrative framework and addressing concerns from users, and providing strategic advice and implementation of continuous improvement of the platform. The resource will drive organizational performance through effective user interfaces and experience, conceiving new designs to meet agency process needs, and ultimately help to drive cybersecurity policies, programs and priorities for the City of New York leveraging evidence-based practices.

TASKS:

Serve as system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment with 200+ users.
Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows, and other routine tasks.
Coordinate integrations of our internal systems with our Security Sciences and Engineering

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered

At least 4 years of experience as a SalesForce Administrator.
Salesforce Administrator certification
Ability to create and deliver appropriate documentation, training and communication around feature(s) and process
A strong understanding of Salesforce functionality and best practices
An exceptional ability to think creatively and out of the box to solve problems
Experience supporting large scale, technically complex solutions on Salesforce and associated ecosystems
A proven track record of identifying, tracking, and resolving customer and stakeholder concerns in a timely manner
Strong and interpersonal skills

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

A Salesforce Architect Certification or Salesforce Developer Certification
Experience with building and maintaining Custom Objects, integrating Salesforce with external systems
Experience in SFDC APIs, REST based web services, XML, and JavaScript
Experience utilizing Salesforce Experience Builder
A strong understanding of information security terms and practices
Experience working with stakeholders across departments and subject matter areas
