Position Overview:

A Leading Global Investment Bank in Manhattan is looking for a Full-Time, Permanent, Employee for a VP/Senior CRM(Salesforce) & Analytics Project Manager position:(REMOTE FOR NOW).The VP/Senior CRM(Salesforce) & Analytics Project Manager (PM) is responsible for knowing the “who, what, where, when and why” of the of both CRM & Analytics projects. This means knowing the key members of the project and being able to effectively communicate with each of them (both top down, and bottom up). The Senior CRM Project Manager is also responsible processes including scope management, issues management and risk management.Some of the Senior Project Manager duties can include:
  • Project Estimation: Project Size Estimation is the most important parameter based on which all other estimations like cost, duration and effort are made.
    • Lead planning to align priorities from product management against the capacity and capability of the team
    • Establishing a project schedule and determine each phase
    • Scheduling: Setting up standard SDLC ceremonies (retrospectives, post-mortems, planning sessions, etc)
    • Staffing: Ensuring resources are applied appropriately and effectively
    • Risk Management: The project manager should identify the unanticipated risks that may occur during project development risk, analysis the damage might cause these risks and take risk reduction plan to cope up with these risks.
    • Miscellaneous plans: This includes making several other plans such as quality assurance plan, configuration management plan, etc.
  • Execution:
    • Track sprint execution
    • Working across different teams to create, iterate and manage delivery of features & capabilities
    • Guide teams through delivery and manage scope, risks & issues, resolving at the lowest level and escalating as needed
    • Assigning tasks to project team members
  • Governance:
    • Responsible for adherence to Madison way SDLC governance
    • Ensure deliverables as required are created, documented & signed off by required parties
    • Preparation & review of documentation prior to critical phases along SDLC
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Providing regular updates to senior management
It doesn’t matter if you are using an agile methodology or the waterfall method, once deliverables are defined, it is critical that the Project Manager starts to actively exercise change management. Change should not be perceived as a negative or something to be avoided.Change is inevitable and is acceptable in a software project as long as it is managed. The impact of any change needs to be assessed, measured and communicated. The major factors are typically timeline and budget. If the impact is deemed acceptable by the Project Sponsor, then the change can be incorporated.The Project Manager also oversees software testing, delivery and formal acceptance by the customer. Then the Project Manager performs a project review with the software development team to document any lessons learned from the software development processes.

Skills
  • Clear and defined leadership – ability to take charge, own a deliverable and carry it through ideation to deployment
  • Leading teams through feature estimation and other standard SDLC ceremonies / practices
  • Prior experience performing role on teams delivering products that include analytics features. The tasks and deliverables are different than traditional software development and the candidate must know them already.
  • Identifying, scoping & developing ways to improve the delivery capability of teams
  • Ability to quickly identify, manage risks and issues, resolving them at the lowest level and escalating / communicating approach when needed to the appropriate individuals
  • Understanding impacts across the team & bringing teams together to work collaboratively
  • Proven track record of successful delivery of complex, cross workstream dependent projects
  • Prior experience with CRM projects, specifically Salesforce
  • Experience in either an agile or iterative development workstream, with an ability to apply best practices from waterfall, sAFE, etc when & where needed
  • Experience with Atlassian stack as well as industry best of breed tools – examples include:
    • Jira
    • Confluence
    • Big Picture
    • Structure
    • EazyBI
    • Collibra
    • Smartsheets / MS Project
    • Standard Microsoft Stack
Pluses:
  • Prior experience in Financial Services software development projects
