Director, Application Development is responsible for the overall management of highly complex enterprise-wide technology solutions consisting of multiple work streams and/or projects that support the achievement of HF’s financial business objectives. He/she is accountable for delivering end-to-end technology solutions, in line with strategic business objectives and priorities and provides technical insight, oversight, strategic context, direction and leadership to the teams involved. The incumbent will oversee project execution, resource deployment and overall coordination efforts to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to budget with quality outcomes. Partnering closely with the business, corporate project management office and technology teams, he/she ensures business needs are clearly understood and the technology implemented meets the needs and expectations of the business.   • Accountable for delivering end-to-end technology solutions, in line with strategic business objectives and priorities
  • Provide technical insight, oversight, strategic context, direction and leadership to the teams involved.
  • Oversee project execution, resource deployment and overall coordination efforts to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to budget with quality outcomes.
  • Work with business, corporate project management office and technology teams to ensure business needs are clearly understood and the technology implemented meets the needs and expectations of the business.
  • Applies technical thought leadership in service of delivering enterprise-wide technology solutions.
  • Ensure applications are supportable, achieve business objectives and anticipated benefits, are in line with reference architecture and meet security/availability/disaster recovery standards.
  • Responsible for all staff-related functions (administrative, training, career planning, etc)for team members
  • Work with business to understand the overarching business strategy and objectives in order to develop technology solutions
  • Identify the implications to application(s) under responsibility and plan appropriate responses
  • Accountable to the business and IT leadership for successful service delivery
  • Establish and maintain IT leadership and business partnerships
  • Determine the scope of enhancements and/or change requests from the business
  • Prioritize and manage development and implementation of enhancements and/or change requests by fostering collaboration with the business
  • Work with business partners to adhere to and meet the requirements of the governance process.
  • Position team to communicate with business in business terms rather than technical terms; Increase teams business acumen

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Typically requires extensive relevant experience in systems and applications management including systems / application design
  • Strong project management and team management skills e.g. planning, budgetary control, people management etc
  • Expertise in assigned group of applications / platform to provide service to multiple clients
  • Experience in implementing quality guidelines, standards and procedures
  • Management of medium (5+) to large teams and significant ($1M+) budgets
  • Strong knowledge of applicable business areas, the supporting technology architecture, and applicable processes
  • Strong knowledge of professional services vendors, and outsourcing business models and tools
  • Identify technical support resources to provide production support, resolve issues, develop systems software and staff relevant projects
  • Passion to lead successful team efforts and projects exceeding expectations
  • Project management disciplines - task planning, financial planning, and issue management
Preferred
  • Masters Degree
  • Web Portal Development, API’s, Streaming, Data Lakes, HL7 FHIR, AWS, Analytics(Tableau/Qlik)
