RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a QA - Automation Analyst in New York, NY.

Summary:Our client is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to be a key player in planning, preparation and execution of tests for core application team. This role requires a seasoned QA analyst who works effectively, both independently as well as collaboratively, in a team environment. The candidate must be a delivery-focused person with financial applications experience and skills. The candidate must have sound Manual and QA automation experience, and will assist with creating and executing test cases, automation of tests, gather test metrics, do deployments in the QA environment, co-ordinate production deployments and release planning.

Responsibilities: Develop and document application test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications Evaluate requirements and define testing objectives and approaches while working in Agile methodology Continuous review and improvement of the testing and quality assurance methodologies and measurement of these processes Test and respond to Software Quality Assurance issues with related groups such as Development, Database, Integration, and Customer Support Understand business model and customer needs and apply/modify QA techniques accordingly Provide effective communication regarding issues, testing status and potential risks Effectively interact with global customers, business users and IT staff Manage, maintain QA environments along with build and deployments Design and develop test automation solutions using Cucumber/Selenium, and other technologies determined to best suit our needs

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience 6+ years of experience in complete software testing activities Hands on experience working with testing frameworks, Selenium web driver, Cucumber Hands on experience with Object oriented language like Java or Python Hands on experience with test frameworks like Carina, Karate would be plus Experience in SQL a must. Knowledge of PL/SQL, No SQL DB, Linux/UNIX, Jenkins preferred Experience in supporting test strategy activities, particularly in integration of multiple applications and systems Experience in evaluating testing technologies , conducting test strategy design and test script code reviews Demonstrated skill to proactively resolves issues and escalate appropriately Experience with Index/Benchmarks, Asset Management, or Portfolio Investment modeling Experience with Market Data such as Equity, Forex or Options asset classes preferred Excellent communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies Excellent understanding of release testing, sign-off and deployment methods Hands on Experience with AWS service Testing Knowledge on API testing is preferred
