Cloud SRE -Site Reliability EngineerNew York -NY -Mid Town -Remote till COVIDDuration: 6-9 months, extension likelyClient is looking for a senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who has experience with Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code tooling; while experience with service mesh implementation will be a nice-to-have. Need for 1 Senior Software Engineer on the Runtime & Traffic team. The duration of the engagement will be 6-9 months with a possibility of extension. For this role, we are seeking an IC3.2/IC4 candidate with more than 8 years' experience. Please also note that we would like this contractor to participate in our on-call hours rotation, which we anticipate being one week a month. Overview- The Runtime & Traffic team is looking for a senior SRE who has hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Chef and any monitoring stack like Prometheus.
- The team’s mission is to build world class infrastructure that powers major components of the customer-facing ecom website and excel at abstracting away the underlying networking complexity. They also create & support paved path experiences for engineering teams on container journey at the client.
- Ideal candidate should have more than 8 years' experience with systems/infrastructure engineering or Devops or SRE background
- Must haves: hands on experience with Kubernetes & Infrastructure as Code tooling like Terraform or Ansible and configuration management tooling like Chef.
- Nice-to-haves: GoLang, Packer and exposure to modern monitoring stack like Prometheus, Cortex is a nice to have along with previous experience implementing service meshes (ex: Istio, Linkerd, Traffic Director etc,.).
