AWS Data Engineer (AWS Kinesis/Apache Kafka)Location:

New York, NY

Duties and Responsibilities:

Participate in the design, development and delivery of solutions on AWS technology stack
Develop efficient and high performance code
Develop unit tests to maximize code coverage and end to end business scenarios
Support existing architecture and code
Documents code and design as needed
Work with other teams to understand scope and design efficient solution
Collaborates within the Agile framework, fosters a team approach to software development and delivery
Ensure all code developed follows DevOps practices

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar
Good experience with Python and must have Built Data Pipelines
Implement solutions on AWS and good experience with AWS cloud services.
Engineer solutions on AWS based data processing stack
Must have worked with Streaming Data (AWS Kinesis or Apache Kafka)
Work with business and IT teams to understand and capture search requirements
Experience consuming and build REST APIs
Strong SQL skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Master Degree in Computer Science
AWS Solution Architect or Developer Certification
Knowledge of provider-sponsored health insurance systems/processes and the Healthcare industry
Experience with Cloud Data Warehouse
