Summary

Seeking a bookkeeping office manager to handle the fundamental aspects of a Deon Constructions' financial record keeping. They are in charge of updating all financial records for the company including all individual job contracts.

Duties

The bookkeeping office manager handles company’s financial records, enters data, generates work orders, proposals, and job costing. Assists with recording financial transactions such as outgoing and incoming checks. Bookkeeping office manager will handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconcile bank statements; manage payroll; and invoices for materials and equipment for the company.

Education and Training Requirements

A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an equal position within the residential construction field is required in order to apply for this position. Must speak fluent English.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

Must be familiar with bookkeeping and the generally accepted principles of governmental accounting. Must be familiar or able to quickly become familiar with the current bookkeeping program (Accounting Power). Must communicate effectively with employees, subcontractors and with material suppliers. Finally, must be discreet and trustworthy since the manager handles numbers and other confidential materials.

Working Conditions

Bookkeeping office manager must have ability to work independently and in an organized manner. This company operates out of a home office. This is a part time position with office hours ranging from 12-18 hours per week.
