Position: Research Technician

iFyber is seeking a research technician to assist with R&D projects at the interface between chemistry, biology, and material science. iFyber serves clients in the regenerative medicine, medical device, diagnostics, and antimicrobial industries. The person in this position will support a variety of programs that will require experience and/or the ability to pick up bench skills related to microbiology and chemistry.

Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct experimental tasks both independently

Follow established protocols and work with senior staff to adapt or design new protocols

Document information in laboratory notebooks and MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Report results via verbal, written, and graphical communication

Document and troubleshoot experimental methods failures and instrument malfunctions

Perform additional duties as assigned and be willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary

Skills and Experience

At minimum, a BS degree in the biological sciences and 1 year’s research experience outside coursework (academic or industrial)

Hands on bench experience required

Ability to follow aseptic techniques

Requirements

Good written and oral communication

Meticulous attention to detail

Solid grasp of scientific method

Display initiative and ownership of duties

Ability to handle multiple tasks in daily, weekly, monthly occurrence

Ability to work independently on standard protocols

Ability to contribute in a team setting
