Several of REV's brands pioneered their specialty vehicle product categories and date back more than 50 years.JOB TITLE: Painter IIPAY GRADE:SCOPE: Perform duties to check and prepare units and apply a full range of coating materials to complete requiredpainting process and repair, as part of the manufacturing of large, custom, special purpose vehicles, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Work from specifications, shop orders and instructions.Review material and product requirements. May prepare any preparation operations as required such as masking and hanging parts onto holding devices. Obtain specified paint or other coating material and appropriate spray gun. Check operation and make preliminary adjustments or repairs to paint gun.Receive bodies, cabs, doors or other components for primer, intermediate or final application of coating materials, check substrates and general conditionActivate paint according to supplier recommendation. Apply primers and multiple top coats in prescribed sequence. Set baker temperature and timer and bake according to manufacturer recommendationsClean and maintain spray equipment after each use. Clean and maintain paint booth according to approved maintenance schedule. Visually check work and record production. Notify supervisor of unusual equipment or operating problems.Automotive/collision repair and painting experience prefered.OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Perform or assist with any operations, as required or directed, to maintain work flow or respond to production requirements.Tools and equipment used:A variety of paint guns, mixing machines, computer, scale, razor knives, mixing sticks, gun cleanerPOSITION EXPECTATIONS:1. Proper use of PPE; use only defect-free equipment. Promote safety in department. Use proper lifting techniques and overhead hoist when needed. Maintain clean and safe working environment in line with 5-S Philosophy. Participate in hazardous communication training and safety meetings.2. QUALITY: Responsible for the quality of work. This requires defect-free work and understanding of the requirements of the company’s quality system as it pertains to job duties and responsibilities. Must be able to check work to ensure conformance to process control instructions, specifications, and quality standards. Identify and segregate non- conforming product. Identify the need for and assist in initiating and implementing corrective and preventive actions when appropriate.
