Acts as a clerical liaison for the therapy department.

Transports residents to and from designated areas directed PRN

Ensure resident records are updated and filed accordingly.

Maintains a current file of residents treated.

Assists with care and maintenance of the facility equipment and supplies.

Updates and tracks Rehab Inventory/Supplies.

Follow safety standards established for the Rehabilitation department.

Follow established departmental policies and procedures at all times.

Be alert for resident safety during any/all therapy.

Comply with the facility’s established safety precautions at all times.

Wear and or use safety equipment and supplies (e.g., back brace, mechanical lifts, etc.) when lifting or moving residents.

Ensure that the therapy area is maintained in a clean and safe manner for resident comfort and convenience by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained to perform such duties/services.

Must be physically able to operate facility specific equipment in relation to the position or use prosthetics or devices that will enable such use.

Ensure the resident participates in planning and scheduling of his or her treatment.

In an emergency, may be asked to perform other functions as deemed necessary.

Qualifications:

Must have a high school diploma. A minimum of an associate degree, with a concentration in movement sciences, is preferred. College students welcome to apply.
