Community Action of Greene County, Inc. links human service resources throughout our service area to provide leadership and serve the specific needs of each community.BENEFITS:35 hour work week - 8am-4pm Summer hours; 8:30am-4:30pm Winter hours; Closed 12pm-1pm for lunch13 paid holidays18 PTO days in the first year; increasing with longevityMedical, Dental, and Life insurance403(b) Pension after 3 years; company contributes 3% of annual salaryGENERAL DUTIES:Ensure that financial operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and are responsive to the needs of agency personnel.Act as financial support person to management teamOversee operations support staff such as HR and AP/ARACTIVITIES:Provide supervision and training of Finance and Operations personnel in compliance with management systemsDevelop, implement, and maintain finance/human resource operations systemsResponsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day financial operation in conformity with all funding requirements and finance procedures manualProvide direction to Program Directors on matters relating to fundingAdvise and guide Program Directors on budget development and fiscal complianceMaintain a current library of finance regulations and relevant information, which will be used for periodic training on finance matters to agency personnel and act as principal advisor to the Executive Director on finance policies and proceduresResponsible for management and quality assurance of Agency-wide compliance with mandated personnel and corporate reporting systemsParticipate as a member of the Management Team; attend board meetings and prepare monthly financial reports for the boardAct as liaison between the agency and its insurance providers ensuring that insurance billing and premium payments are accurate and in accordance with policy terms; and equitably distributed among agency programsMaintain records as required to support the efficient conduct of the annual single agency-wide financial auditAdvise the Executive Director on matters relating to the adequacy of audit performance and matters requiring resolution with AuditorResponsible for the cost effective management of an up to date, quality compensation and benefits packageShall act as a liaison between the benefit plan administrators and employeesEnsure that lawful and uniform standards of work ethics are enforced and applied, such as hours, overtime, leaves of absence, pay scales, federal and state regulated benefits, etc.Perform all other activities as may be assigned relating to the efficient and effective accomplishment of organizational objectivesOther duties as assigned and needed for the operation of the agencyQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferredFive years’ experience in supervision and finance management preferredMinimum 2 years of non-profit accounting experience preferredAbility to work in fast paced environment and manage multiple deadlinesMust have a valid New York State Driver LicenseMust pass criminal background checkPhysical DemandsReaches to secure files, reports, folders, etc. required to complete tasksRequired to drive agency vehicleRequired to talk in person and by telephone to obtain and interpret detailed informationAble to sit and stand for long periodsAble to climb stairsAble to use writing equipment both manual and electronicRequired to lift up to 50 lbs.Environmental ConditionsExposed to weather/road conditionsExposed to children and adults with contagious illnessesWork in close quarters with several staff members and/or customersAll personnel are expected to work together to ensure the Agency goals and objectives are met.
