URGENT NEED - Senior Systems Engineer role in Brooklyn, NYWe're seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with min 12 years of IT experience including recent experience in Oracle Enterprise platforms. This is a 12 months+ contract (visibility of renewals or conversion into fulltime) with our Client. Location is Brooklyn, NY. Remote work is allowed due to pandemic however onsite work will resume after pandemic is under control. Support system and component owners; provide quality control and oversight Identify the appropriate sequence and scheduling of integration efforts for subsystems; Determine the external interfaces requirements necessary to support subsystem integration and testing, and arrange to simulate or supply them; Identify any resources needed to conduct the integration and test functions, including identifying staffing requirements, tools and test equipment, installation support materials and external vendor support; Direct the configuration of equipment and subsystems into the PSAC environments; Coordinate, monitor and control all technical activities needed to support integration with the project and program management team; Lead technical discussions in integration planning and review meetings and managing the action items;Must Have / Required Experience to be qualified for this role: Minimum 12 years of experience in a particular technical and/or business application, product, platform, methodology. Five plus years' experience with the following Oracle enterprise platforms (Exadata, Exalogic, PCA, Bigdata, ODA and ZFS). Strong Shell scripting (Bash/Ksh, PERL, Python). Strong understanding of Unix/Linux performance tuning and related utilities. Strong understanding of the TCP/IP protocols (subnetting, routing, DNS, NTP) and load balancing technologies. Must have expertise in security hardening of Linux/Unix based systems including applying and maintaining SCAP security profiles. Maintain infrastructure documentation for complete solution including architecture diagrams and Linux/OS runbooks.Desired Experience: Working knowledge of infrastructure automation principles (infra code) & tools (Chef/Puppet/Ansible) a plus Familiarity with proactive service monitoring concepts and best practices Experience with Oracle OEM a major plus Ability to diagnose unique and complex system issues in conjunction with external vendors and internal FDNY technical teams. Experience with one or more Oracle Fusion Middleware products a plus
