RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Backend Python Developer in Brooklyn, NY.

Summary:The Dev Platform team provides tools and resources to the entire organisation to enable product engineers to efficiently and consistently develop and iterate on their code. We strive for a balance between software and systems thinking to build reliability into our solutions. We are also a key player in ongoing cloud native transformation. The team is looking for 1 individual with about 5 or more years of experience (IC3) in a software/ systems engineering role or similar. About you: A customer focus, building with a user in mind and thinking of infrastructure and services in product terms

About The Role: Maintain and improve provisioning tools, allowing rapid deployment of service capacity Build tools that make it easy to take advantage of infrastructure Seek opportunities to improve our architecture, operability or capabilities Validate your hypotheses and inform your decision making using data Collaborate with your teammates and peers across Platform and Product Engineering Build and maintain computing infrastructure in the cloud Work with other engineering teams on capacity planning and provide resources to support traffic growth and new initiatives

REQUIREMENTS: Python or Go or Ruby or other equivalent languages (Python and Go are the primary languages used) Strong foundation in Google Cloud Platform or AWS Experience working with Git in a collaborative team setting Experience with either Chef, Puppet, Ansible Exposure to Docker Advanced knowledge of large scale Linux system administration Strong communication skills Experience installing Linux systems on bare metal and/or in virtualized environments Understanding of web application architecture, including TCP/IP and HTTP Experience working with highly-available web applications Nice to have Packer Cobbler Koji Kubernetes CloudBuild or Jenkins TypeScript JavaScript Terraform
