  • Customize port-to-vlan mappings document and add required worksheets as required for projects. Add vlan information to the documents.
  • Configure the site to site VPN tunnels to vendors using FortiGate 1000c, ASA 5520 and ASA 5505.
  • Participate in design that includes type of switches required for a project, high availability, vlan and IP addressing design, and mapping vlans to ports (Cisco, Juniper, Brocade).
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain different network infrastructure devices and services including routers, switches, internet services, VPN, firewalls, DNS, security, VOIP, wireless access points, and wireless controllers.
  • Take active role in discussions relating to maintaining network infrastructure as well as contribute to ensuring reliable and smooth network operation.
  • Create exceptions for, as well as list/list sites for security reasons using WebSense
  • Make recommendations to management about technology strategies that both reduce cost and ensure robust network infrastructure.
  • Take a leading role in the deployment of voice over IP network on cisco/juniper equipment at the access level, Avaya G450 gateway, and Cisco core across a major healthcare facility across thirteen sites.
  • Act as an internal interface and manage network related projects for the networking team, working closely with management and other resources within the team.
  • Work closely with the IT security team to ensure strict adherence to company policies, processes, and procedures as permitted by IT security standards.
  • Provide network support, handle assigned tickets per company service level agreement, and collaborate with other resources to complete tasks/projects in a timely manner.
  • Implement EIGRP dynamic routing and configured network devices to reflect the requirements.
  • Accurately document task/projects to ensure ease of access and business continuance.
  • Work on Cisco switches for LAN requirements that include managing VLANs, Port Security and troubleshooting LAN issues.
  • Audit switches in datacenter cabinet and make recommendation about how to improve design.

Network Management Tools: CA Spectrum, Nimsoft, Wireshark, Health, SolarWinds OS products/Services: DHCP, TFTP, SMTP, LINUX, Mac, Microsoft Server 2008, Windows 7/Vista, VMware, Active Directory, & Microsoft Office Suite. Firewalls: ASA 5500 series, IPsec and SSL VPN, IPS/IDS, IOS LAN Technologies: Ethernet/ Fast Ethernet/ Gigabit Ethernet networks, VLANS, Inter-VLAN Routing, VTP, STP, PVST, RSTP (802.1W), Ether channel. WAN Technologies: MPLS, PPP, HDLC, T1/T3 and E1/E3. Operating Systems: Windows 2000/2003/2008, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows Storage Server 2003, Cisco IOS-XE, Cisco IOS Server Applications: ADS, DHCP, DNS, DFS, SharePoint, FortiGate 1000c, WebSense, FireEye, Aruba 6400 controller Ticketing platform: ServiceNow
