CISCO Network Engineer (Albany)

This is a permanent position with an outstanding global company. The Job location is a one of the company’s rural locations in an ‘outdoors recreational’ community in upstate New York. Relocation assistance is available.

This Cisco Network Engineer will be part of a dedicated team which designs, builds, and supports network systems across the enterprise. Responsibilities are diverse and involve new implementations and support of existing WAN/LAN connections, data center networks, communication links and analyzing network traffic and resolving problems.

Requirements BS or AAS in computer science, information sciences or related field

Must have minimum 4 years of CISCO Network Engineering experience

Current CCNA certification is required. CCNP certification is a plus.

Working knowledge of network platforms and technologies including Cisco routers, switches (Cisco, specifically Nexus), firewalls and content filters.

Good technical knowledge of current Internet and network protocols.

Ability to operate network component analyzers, scanners, and testers

Hands-on experience with wiring technologies, concepts and materials.

Team player with good work ethic and keen interest in networks and infrastructure.
