Haan Lao at Bound by Fate Brewing is hiring a Line Cook!

Bound by Fate Brewing is hiring! We are a family owned and operated NYS Farm Brewery, located in the historic village of Schuylerville, NY. We have recently added our kitchen, Haan Lao, serving up a Lao food menu. We are currently the only ones cooking this unique cuisine in the Capital Region. As we prepare to enter the busy summer season and expand hours to offer lunch, we are in need of an experienced line cook to work lunch and dinner service Thursday-Saturday. You will work alongside our head chef and be expected to maintain a clean and well-stocked station.

For the Line Cook position job functions and responsibilities include:

Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

Set up and stocking stations with all necessary mise en place

Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions

Clean up station and take care of leftover food

Stock inventory appropriately

Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

The Line Cook position expectations and qualifications include:

Two years experience working in a professional kitchen is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.

A team-player capable of multitasking while working under pressure

Work quickly, cleanly, and efficiently and in an organized set up

Be able to receive constructive feedback and have a willingness to learn

Possess a great work ethic

Efficient and effective communication

High standard of commitment to quality

Maintain a positive and professional approach with staff and guests
