Savoy Taproom, Inc. operates approachable, upscale restaurants in Albany and is looking to hire a Saute & Grill Chef / Line Cook to join our team of dedicated and passionate professionals. In this position you will be responsible for station prep and for sautéing and grilling food to order.


Job Duties

Perform daily cleaning duties

Ensure the readiness of station for service

Check ingredient par levels

Saute and grill food to order ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes

Properly temp meats

Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen complying with all sanitary guidelines

Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen

Minimum 1 year of experience on sauté

Minimum 1 year of experience on grill

Demonstrated knife skills

Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)

Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of basic cooking terms & concepts

Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently

Ability to self-direct and prioritize tasks
