Infant and Toddler Teachers needed - Hourly position - $16-$17/hour.

The Commission on Economic Opportunity (CEO) is seeking Infant and Toddler Teachers at our Lansingburgh Family Resource Center. You will work closely with the Leadership team, other classroom staff, families, and children to ensure an amazing early childhood program experience.

Our Infant/Toddler Teachers:

Promote children's development and learning through the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum

Use age-appropriate and positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect inappropriate classroom behavior

Build positive relationships with staff and families through positive and professional communication, creating a welcoming environment, respecting diversity, and encouraging parent participation in the center

Work collaboratively with the co-teacher and service providers

As a teacher you'll benefit from:

35-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 3:00 pm

Fewer classroom hours

Dedicated planning time during work hours

Paid professional development during work hours

Paid vacations, holidays and school breaks in February, April and December

Classroom support provided by CEO's Interventionists and Family Advocates

On staff Floating Teacher Assistants for lunch and breaks

Qualifications:

An AAS or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or Infant/Toddler CDA (Child Development Associate)

Knowledge of Infant/Toddler child development and family interaction

The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
