Senior Financial Accountant

Job Description

The Financial Accountant is responsible for ensuring that the data integrity associated with the General Ledger is in line with relevant accounting standards as well as adhering to internal policies and procedures.

• Responsible for providing relevant financial information as requested.
• Preparation, investigation and clearance of Balance Sheet reconciliations, which involves reporting to management on a monthly basis outstanding item of more than 3 months old and ensure the reconciliations, agree to the trial balance.
• Month end reporting, manage journals postings, bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Preparation and maintenance on a monthly basis of all leased assets undertaken by the company in a leased asset register.
• Assist with audits and ad-hoc projects.
• Preparation and assistance with general ledger and spread sheet interface entries into the ledger.
• Preparation of the reporting of actual cash flows and cash flow forecasts on a monthly basis within specified timeframes.
• Work together with the team, in preparation of monthly results, forecasts and budgets to ensure effective financial management.
• Maintenance of all actual/budget/forecast information within the general ledger.

Qualifications

• University Degree Qualified and CPA or CA qualified.
• Minimum 5 years as a qualified Financial Accountant.
• Excellent Communication skills both Written and Oral, ability to converse with all level of staff from senior level management to technical staff.
• Worked with multiple stakeholders.
• Advanced with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and MS-Project).
