Full Job Description:

Tru Security is looking to hire level III Armed Security Guards in the Santa Fe area.

Applicants already licensed with NM RLD are a plus but aren’t required. Tru Security will train you to become an Armed Security Guard in our in-house training facility if you need to get your guard card. We also offer training for renewals as well.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping, up to twelve (12) hours per day, either indoors or outdoors, during daytime or nighttime. Outdoor Security Guard posts may require an individual to withstand extreme heat, humidity, cold, or severe weather (e.g., snow, sleet, rain, hail, wind).

Frequent contact with general public, law enforcement, and dispatch center, requiring an ability to speak clearly and distinctly and remain calm in stressful situations (e.g., confrontations with angry, distraught, disturbed, or violent persons).

Ability to remain alert for up to twelve (12) hours(depending on post, 8 or 12), with ability to mentally and physically react quickly to a variety of unexpected and various situations. Use of senses (sight, hearing, smell, touch) is necessary to discern unusual or dangerous situations.

Ability to read post assignments and write legible post reports

Currently have or be willing and able to purchase all required armed duty gear.

Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts on guarded property.

Watch for signs of crime or disorder and be willing to investigate disturbances.

Job Requirements:

Must be willing to work Mon-Sun night all shifts/overnight INCLUDES WEEKENDS

Successfully pass the employee background check

Clean Driving Record

Capable of passing an initial drug test as well as random drug screening

Must have High school Diploma or GED

Have reliable transportation

Have a smartphone to clock in and out and complete daily shift and/or Incident reports

Valid driver’s license

Have the ability to speak, read, and write in English
