Los Alamos National Laboratory is looking for an entry-level, Electrical Technician to join our Fabrication and Assembly Team. This is truly a great opportunity to further your career in unique ways while contributing directly to national security.The Automaton and Process Controls Group (E-3) is responsible for the design, development, and field support of data acquisition systems, process control systems, machine control systems, and safety systems used for the Plutonium Sustainment and The Advanced Recovery and Integrated Extraction System programs as well as a variety of additional programs throughout the Laboratory. This is an entry-level technician position. Principal responsibilities will be to learn and assist with electrical/electronic systems and control systems, while following appropriate engineering standards as guided by a senior technician. Some of these activities will be performed in the plutonium facility.What You NeedMinimum Job Requirements:Electrical TechnologyEntry-level expertise in electrical systems, electronics, engineering standards, and control systems.SchematicsExperience developing and working from formal drawings/schematics. HRP: This position is subject to the requirements of the DOE Human Reliability Program as specified in 10 Code of Federal Regulation, Part 712, §712.11.
