Do you enjoy writing and editing technical documents? Then join our team! The Weapons Facility Operations (WFO) Division is searching for a Procedure Writer and Readiness Liaison. This position will be an integral member of the WFO Division, an organization responsible for ensuring each facility within the Weapons Engineering complex is able to operate reliably while striving for continued excellence. You will interact with a wide variety of staff from a number of facilities to include High Explosives facilities, the DARHT accelerator facility, and the WETF Tritium operations facility. To be successful you should be a highly motivated and customer service focused individual; comfortable working across multiple stakeholder groups, building collaborative relationships, coordinating with peers, and collaborating with others. You will also demonstrate good judgment in selecting techniques for obtaining solutions working under limited direction.As an Operations Specialist 3, you will be expected to meet the following duties:Contributes ideas and work products to technical and administrative documents.
Speaks and writes on behalf of the WFO division through a variety of media, such as operating procedures, internal and external plans, administrative documents, web content, and stakeholder updates.
Coordinates with internal and external customers, such as facility management, functional area representatives, contractor and consulting staff, and outside LANL organization staff.
Researches and applies best practices to his or her work in both procedure writing and readiness program implementation.
Ensures all work processes and products meet established requirements within DOE and LANL policies and procedures.
Operations Specialist 4 $94,100 - $155,700In addition to applying your highly developed interpersonal skills, at this level you will develop strategies to improve the WFO Readiness process and advance the strategy used for procedure development. You will use your persuasion skills to successfully coordinate your strategic vision with others. You will independently sustain routine work products while initiating your own long-range assignments. You will complete your tasks keeping the strategic vision in mind. Additional job duties for the Operations Specialist 4 include the following:Help anticipate and manage procedure and readiness needs for WFO management.
Learn, use, and teach others within the organization of technical writing and readiness skills and strategies.
Champion advancement of the readiness program through collaboration with other LANL organizations and contract staff.

At this level, post graduate course work may be expected.Desired Qualifications:In addition to the minimum job requirements listed above, the below skills and experience would be desirable to the WFO organization.Experience with MS SharePoint and its functionality.
Experience working to and statusing project schedules.
