The role

We are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to join our Global Logistics – Industrials division based in Arndell Park. Working Monday to Friday, you will effectively manage and organise the transport of Dangerous and Non-Dangerous customer products to various locations intra and interstate. As the Transport Manager you will train, develop, and support staff to meet operational KPI’s and business requirements. This role is essential with ensuring products are despatched in a cost-effective and timely manner.

As the Transport Manager, you will:

  • Oversee and manage transportation to multi-facet delivery locations throughout Australia.
  • Communicate on a regular basis with Toll staff to maximize fleet utilization and meet customer requirements.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure customer satisfaction is of the highest quality.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and conduct KPI and compliance reporting.
  • Ensure maintenance of equipment meets Toll Standards.
  • Support staff with relevant coaching, training, and mentoring.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 5 + years’ experience within a management role in Transport/Logistics.
  • Previous experience in coaching, mentoring, training, and conflict resolution.
  • Working knowledge in continuous improvement within transport operations, governance, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Analytical skills and understanding of P&L: budgets and costing.
  • Dangerous Goods awareness and transport licenses – beneficial.
  • Computer literacy: MS Office Suite and Ramco Transport Systems.
