Description

This is a fulltime Software Developer role based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Relocation is available.

Robert Half Technology is seeking multiple Software Developers. This position develops moderately to highly complex software applications for organization. Integrates internally developed applications with off-shelf applications from 3rd-party vendors. Participates in the design process for all types of applications. Collaborates with other software development team members, including business analysts. Maintains existing applications, in addition to creating new ones. Provides end user training/support on developed applications.

Essential Functions:

Develop software applications to meet the needs of the business;

Assist in the application design process;

Document work as reference for future maintenance or upgrades;

Oversee technical architecture and system design, in conjunction with IT Management;

Integrate internally developed applications with applications from 3rd-party vendors;

Create and develop software development methodologies consistent with best practices;

Use code testing tools to ensure quality deliverables;

Modify software to fix errors, improve performance, or implement integrations;

Work within defined QA/testing framework;

Support IT management with the software development portions of short and long-term IT projects;

Work closely with business analysts to turn business requirements into usable code;

The successful Software Developer(s) will have:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field required

Experience:

Two+ years related experience with Java Development or other Object Oriented programming language.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

Strong organizational skills;

Ability to document code and processes;

Strong verbal & written communication skills ;

MS Office (Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);

Java/J2EE/JEE;

Oracle/SQL;

Eclipse (or other IDE);

SVN (or other code repository tool);

Linux (preferably RedHat)
